More free software you might not have noticed from the MacCoss lab!

(Animation by Shannon Joyner...and stolen from the MacCoss lab!)

In writing another post, I ended up seeing how much more free software that the MacCoss lab has been developing and kind of fell in love with this Panda animation.

Just a reminder -- this team isn't just sitting on Percolator, Skyline, Panorama and Chorus. They are developing other stuff.

PAnDa looks at the data you've acquired and then develops you a new LC-MS/MS experiment that is optimized to find the stuff that your previous methods overlooked!!!  I can't wait to try this.

  1. If interested, the PAnDA project was open sourced about 5 years ago. https://github.com/mhoopmann/panda-ms
The project hasn't been worked on for about 5 years and was built using an obsolete version of Visual Studio. The original application was reported in JPR https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19256536
