Comparison of rapid blood prep methods!

Gonna do a rapid LC-MS/MS evaluation of human blood? Couple of ways you could go about it -- you could dilute and shoot (hence the loosely associated pug cowboy....) or you could spin that stuff through molecule weight cutoff filter to ditch the stuff you don't want.

Which way should you go?

Check out this paper from Tore Vehus et al., titled Blood targeted proteomics: centrifugal filter sample prep vs dilute-and-shoot. (open access...and not yet peer reviewed!  interesting!!)
